The short version

You connect your Discord account on the website, pick a username, and the community provisions a Microsoft account for you on @themcedu.onmicrosoft.com. Your sign-in details are sent privately — never posted publicly.

Step by step

1. Join the Discord server and open the website.
2. Connect Discord. The site asks Discord to confirm who you are (username and ID only). We never post as you and never see your password.
3. Choose a username. Letters, numbers, and underscores. It becomes the first part of your email address. Usernames are first-come, first-served, and one account per person.
4. Account creation. Once provisioning is live, your community Microsoft account is created automatically.
5. Get your login details. The website shows them once and our bot sends them to you in a private Discord DM. If your DMs are closed, you can still retrieve them on the website right after creation.
6. Sign in. Use the email and temporary password at Microsoft's sign-in page. Microsoft will ask you to choose a new password the first time — pick a strong one and keep it private.

Current status

Microsoft account provisioning is in final testing. You can connect Discord and check username availability today; account creation is switched on once testing completes. Follow the announcements channel in the Discord server for launch news.

Rules that apply

Accounts are for personal use. Do not sell, share, or trade accounts, and do not use them to harass others or break Discord's or Microsoft's terms. The full rules live in the Discord server's rules channel.
