What this covers

These terms cover the THE MCEDU COMMUNITY website and the community-provisioned accounts it creates. Membership of the Discord server is additionally governed by the server's rules channel and Discord's own Terms of Service.

Independent project

THE MCEDU COMMUNITY is an independent community project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or operated by Microsoft, Mojang, Minecraft, or Minecraft Education. "Minecraft" is a trademark of Mojang Synergies AB; this project makes no claim to it.

Accounts

• One account per person (per Discord account). Usernames are first-come, first-served and may not be sold, shared, or transferred.
• Accounts are community-provisioned Microsoft accounts for community play. We do not provide or guarantee official Minecraft Education licenses, and service availability may change.
• You are responsible for your account and anything done with it. Keep your password private; we will never ask for it.

Acceptable use

Do not use the website or accounts to harass anyone, distribute malware or scams, evade bans, automate account creation, or otherwise abuse the service. The full community rules are in the Discord server's rules channel. Breaking them can mean losing your account and membership.

No warranty

The service is provided "as is", free of charge, without warranties of any kind. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of it at any time. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the community team is not liable for losses arising from use of the service.

Termination

We may disable accounts that break these terms or the community rules, or that are involved in fraud or abuse.

Changes to these terms

Material changes will be announced in the Discord server's announcements channel. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated terms.
